Mixed lot (7 pieces), the Orient: three belt buckles, a pectoral ornament disc, a bangle and two leather pouches with red tassels. - Mimoevropské a domorodé umění

1: Three belt buckles. Including one large Kurdish buckle made of very high-quality silver. With embossed and engraved geometric embellishments. The central round pommel is hollow and crafted with filigree made of silver wire, and decorated with a carnelian. Both smaller buckles are made of white metal with remains of earlier silver plating. They feature embossed bird motifs: one has a bird with a sun above three towers, the other displays two eagles with a double-headed eagle in the middle. They are probably Turkish-Ottoman. Each of the three buckles is made of two parts in boteh (or mirabotta) shapes connected in the middle with hook closures.

2: A round chest disc for women, worn on clothes under the neck. From the Yomud Turkmens of Afghanistan. Crafted from very high-quality with repoussage. With an encircling wreath of ram head motifs, and set with rows of red, blue and green decorative stones (probably made of glass).
Diameter: c. 10.5 cm.

3: A bangle made of high-quality silver, hollow and crafted with polyhedron ends, decorated with punched dots and lines. Probably from the Arab Orient (Bedouin?).
Diameter: c. 8 cm x 9 cm.

4: Two small leather pouches, decorated with inlaid metal spikes on the front side (made of zinc?). With a flap cover and internal compartments. The smaller pouch has two carrying straps at the top so it can be worn over the shoulders, and the larger pouch has straps on the back so its can be worn from a belt. Hanging underneath each object are three red decorative fabric tassels, set in metal.
Dimensions: 10 cm x 8 cm x 5.5 cm and 7.5 cm x 7 cm x 2 cm (each without tassels).
All 7 objects: Between c. 1900 and the first third of the 20th century. (ME)
