A very finely manufactured figurine with high copper content, executed with ‘waste mould’ casting. The sculpture displays die Tibetan-Nepalese goddess ‘Vasundhara’, the goddess of wealth and prosperity. With six arms, sitting on a double lotus plinth. With four arms she holds her attributes: prayer beads, the ‘Book of Wisdom’, a plant and a ‘jewel’. In her frontal left hand she holds a sealed vessel with the ‘elixir of eternal life’ and the right hand displays the ‘gesture of wish-granting’ (‘Varada Mudra’). The right foot of the goddess rests on a vase and a lotus blossom. She wears a skirt finely engraved with floral patterns and numerous ornaments (necklaces, ear pendants, bracelets etc.), as well as four imitation stones (one blue, three made of red glass). The face of the goddess, her hands, all of the attributes, her ornaments, the border of her skirt and the edge of the seat are gilded. The plinth of the figurine is closed with a copper plate on the underside.
