For a more detailed explanation see cat. no. 23. A special feature of these four rider amulets against ‘evil demons’ is their common formal idiosyncrasy of the circular, rolled horses’ heads. The largest and lightest ‘Putchu Guinadji’ rider from this group of four consists of silver alloy, the other three are made of brass. All are executed with ‘waste mould’ casting. With good shiny patina and noticeable, ‘well-worn’ traces of carrying through long use as amulets. Height: c. 6 cm, 5.5 cm, 5 cm, 4.5 cm; length: 7 cm, 6.8 cm, 4.8 cm, 4.6 cm.
