porcelain, the cobalt blue body with wide and narrow gilt edging, gilt floral borders on the lid, neck, and base, the facing side with reserves containing polychrome painted mythological deities among clouds, the reverse side decorated with various large polychrome painted bouquets of flowers, outlined with gilt flowering vines and leaf rocailles, flanked by 2 white female busts with gilt rose wreaths and gilt neckline, the base with white pilaster strips with gilt edging and gilt palmettes, gilt finial, square plinths, with lid height: 54 cm, detachable top for 1 lightbulb height: 54 cm, large and small baluster with chip, 1 vase with restoration to the base, wiring requires inspection, 2 shades with traces of wear; France, apocryphal Sevres mark, 2nd half 19th cent.
