Set of eight dining room chairs, designed by William Bartlett & Son,
1902, manufactured by the Friedrich Otto Schmidt company. Classically pared-down four-legged wood frame construction, leather upholstered seats, undersides with maker’s stamp. Height ca. 93 cm, width ca. 56 cm, depth ca. 51 cm, seat height ca. 46 cm. (MHA)
Identical models can be found in the collection of the Kiscell Museum. One of these chairs was displayed at a 1903 furniture exhibition in Budapest as part of a breakfast room furnished by Widgard Ede and Schmidt Miksa.
