A modified Lombardy Baroque style from the end of the 19th century. A broadly splayed hard and softwood freestanding desk of serpentine form, with walnut and shaded maple floral and figural marquetry, also with some ebonising, with 3 frieze drawers, and an upper section similarly decorated with various doors, drawers and compartments. Ca. 120 x 190 x 100 cm. A stain on the writing surface, otherwise in cared-for condition. (DOC)
