Made in oak and beech, veneered in amaranth and tulipwood, also decorated with marquetry panels, with canted angles, 2 doors, 1 drawer and a fall-front writing surface enclosing a fitted interior of 6 drawers and open compartments. Stamped on the back right support and with maker’s mark CAUMONT (maître from 1774). The bronze mounts with later gilding, and with a heavily restored marble top. 138 x 99 x 39 cm.
