Outstanding Italian cabinet in the Renaissance style,
Presumably Milan, 2nd half of the 19th century. An ebonised pearwood cabinet, with high quality engraved ivory inlays. The piece has a table-like support with one drawer and a two-door cabinet with depictions of young women bathing watched by Cupid. With an external drawer, a removable lidded compartment and tabernacle-shaped fitted interior with 8 drawers and central door. 142 x 79 x 43 cm. In cared-for, restored condition. ASA (PZ)
