1973 Porsche 911 T 2.4-liter Targa
With original engine according to the birth certificate!
In August 1972, the F-model received its last upgrade. The oil filler migrated back to where only gasoline could be filled through strenuous efforts: namely, in the motor compartment. Horn, grill and side window frames were now in black. An 80-liter tank was placed under the body in the stronger models. The original Elfers had been incarnated for the last time, the following year the G-model finally appeared and optically heralded in a new era.
According to the birth certificate, this 911 Targa was delivered to Rome at the end of 1972 in aubergine color with beige faux leather, comfort amenities and features and light aluminum rims. The consignor took the now blushing red Targa to Austria together with a second one. The second one was restored to serve as a source of spare parts. On second thought, the consignor realized it would be too much of a shame, and because one Targa is enough, a new owner may now help this one to reclaim its former glory once again. The gearbox has now been replaced by one from its predecessor models; while it’s sometimes reluctant when switching gears, the motor, on the other hand, is, according to the birth certificate still the original and makes an extremely good impression! So this Targa is a project that is definitely worth it!
