A chair of the Baule people, assembled from 6 light-coloured, brown hard wood pieces and originally dyed dark brown. The heavy and almost rectangular seat presents with a keylock shape carved out of its surface, as framed by a line in relief. The four short legs are round, with sculpturally designed foregrounded section, which are flat in some places. The backrest is decorated with three perforations. An object with old usage patina. No damage. Height: 61 cm (with back), 24 cm (seat); width: 42 cm (backrest); depth: 51 cm (seat). First half of the 20th century. (ME)
