French salon chest of drawers,
Louis XV period, ca. 1770. With serpentine shaping on three sides, made in softwood with rosewood veneer and tulipwood marquetry panels, with three drawers, gilt and finely chased bronze mounts, the right hand support stamped "P. A. VEAUX" and with maker’s mark (Pierre Antoine Veaux, maitre from 1766), a moulded marble top (Bois Jourdan) and one key. 88 x 116 x 55.5 cm. Professionally restored condition. (MIN)
