Below the lion-head rosettes, "Wassersenkel" of black lacquered sheet metal, from which gilt side forks run up to the lower edge of the side plates. The comb decorated with the imperial cipher, the crown and with armatures. Ten-flap black-leather lining. The right cap rail slightly dented. The black lacquer finish of the helmet cap repaired in left rear areas, small holes below the right lion head rosette which may be due to removing the chinscales for cleaning purposes and re-mounting, otherwise very good condition. An early officers' helmet which is more than 5 cm taller than the later helmet pattern of 1905. (Ma)
