A Nepalese sword with a long, slightly curved iron blade, greatly broadening in typical form toward the tip and ending in two flat diagonal arches. One side of the blade has an engraved smith’s trademark (‘sun wheel’). The other side has a marking in Indian script near the hilt. The blade’s upper half is coloured black.
The hilt is made of iron covered in black lacquer resin, and terminates in a spherical pommel with three engraved iron rings projecting from the end.
With some signs of age and use, otherwise in very good condition.
