Persia: The head of a so-called ‘fork spear’. Made of iron, with two prongs and a grommet.
An iron spear head with two wavy prongs (‘fork spear’) with double-edged blades each. Under the prongs is an engraved and etched medallion on either side.
The medallions depict a warrior with helmet, flanked by two fish and leafy tendrils. The lower section features a conical iron grommet to be placed atop a wooden shaft.
