This model, also referred to as “Muslingestolen”, rarely comes as a chair. For some time it was erroneously attributed to Martin Olsen. However, it was the Danish architect Philip Arctander who designed it in 1944 for the opening of the furniture store NY FORM A/S in Copenhagen. The company had invited six architects to supply their designs, and Arctander was one of them.
