Son of Domenico (1723–65) he was active as a theater painter and court theater architect for the electoral prince Carl Theodor, who was a decisive follower of enlightenment and supporter of the theatres and operas in Mannheim and Munich. The following lots are works of the artist family Quaglio, of which numerous painters and architects derived. The family came from Laino in Upper Italy and later settled in Munich.
