Heriz silk,
Northwest Persia (Iran), c. 185 x 138 cm, end of the 19th century, in most cases, silk carpets from Heriz display a prayer pattern in numerous variants, carpets with all-over pattern are rare, this piece preserves its original ends, with rebound silk edges and is provided with a fabric border on both long sides on the reverse, only slight traces of usage.
