Holding a flower in her right hand and carrying a variety of flowers in her apron, base covered in flowers, porcelain, polychrome and gilt group, height 12 cm, some restoration, Vienna, Imperial Manufactory, impressed shield mark 1744–1749, model by Johann Josef Niedermayer (Ru)

Johann Josef Niedermayer, Vienna 1710–1784, 1738–1743 student and drawing master at the Viennese Academy, 1747–1784 modelling master at the Viennese Manufactory, commissioned, above all, to produce new, modern forms and models. He looked to Jakob van Schuppen as a stylistic precedent; inspiration also drawn from the work of Georg Raphael Donner. The Providentia fountain, executed in 1739, on the former Mehlmarkt, today Neuer Markt, provided motifs for his work.
