Literature: M. Duranti, Pranzo futurista, Abitare con Arte, no. 12, June 1993, Milan pp. 4–9;

Dottori executed this painting together with ‘Flying Airplanes’, also 1932, in connection with the Dining Room of Casa Cimino, which includes a chandelier and appliques that he designed. Taken together, these elements constitute a truly Futurist ambience. In the early 1930s, the painter from Perugia fully developed his Aeropainting style, depicting landscapes, particularly the lake landscape of the Umbria region, with audacious perspectives, surmounted by a feast of airplanes and their trails, with overlapping bright cones of light linking the earth and the sky.
