Raymond de Baux was primarily active as a portrait- and battle painter in Berlin and from 1810 to 1860 regularly sent in works to exhibitions at the Berlin academy. In the 1830s he created battle scenes of the Wars of Liberation and made three lithographs with battles of the war 1813-1815. His drawings have hitherto been only present in the collection of the Verein Berliner Künstler( Community of Berlin fine artists). Literature: Rudolf Pfefferkorn (Ed.), Von Schadow bis Gärtner.
