Provenance: - Craig Morrison - private property, Germany.
Craig Morrison was born in Glasgow in 1964 and graduated as a theatre designer in London in 1988. His initial work as a concept designer for the British under-ground group Meat Beat Manifesto ("Babylon"), founded in 1988, prompted him to develop the qualities of his latex costumes into a com-mercial range of products. The extreme nature of his early designs with M. B. M. entailed several other commissions: Seal, Gavin Friday, The Spice Girls, Take That, 2 Fabeolo, Judge Dredd, The Borrowers, Yello, Frankie goes to Hollywood, ANTZ, Tango, HarleyDavidson, Expo, Taschen, The Science Museum and The Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and finally MTV. MTV commissioned Craig to design 7 idents for their European programming. The costumes and sets that he produced for this commission where a new departure for MTV, moving away from their usual animated slots. The idents took 4 weeks to produce, each one lasting approximately 30 seconds!
