possibly Jean, Comte de Sellon (1736–1810), Château d’Allaman near Geneva, no. 56 (according to a label on the reverse);
possibly by descent to the family during the 19th century
Jean, Comte de Sellon, had an important collection of Bamboccianti paintings (in his time called ‘bambochades’). His collection comprised several works by Jan Miel, Johannes Lingelbach, and Pieter van Bloemen.
