A giant bookcase / shelf system, designed by Wolfgang Laubersheimer* in 1988,
custom-made in 1992, monumental steel construction consisting of altogether seven elements differing in height and width (2 x 36.6 cm width and 240 cm height; 5 x 70.6 cm width, heights between 250 cm and 296 cm), variably combinable, individually adjustable shelves. (MHA)
This shelf system was custom-made by Wolfang Laubersheimer for its previous owner in 1992, based on a design from 1988, Wolfgang Laubersheimer’s so-called ‘Patent Shelf System’, only few examples of which were actually manufactured. In 1989 it won a first prize in the DESIGN PLUS competition at the Ambiente trade fair in Frankfurt.

In 1985, Wolfgang Laubersheimer was among the co-founders of the Pentagon Group.
