Raffaele Monti, (Milan 1818- 1881 England), Italian sculptor, studies with his father Matteo Monti at the Royal Academy, visited Vienna at the age of twenty and returned to Milan in 1840; in 1846 travel to Great Britain where he took up residence. The biscuit porcelain bust "Die Liebe" was presented at the International Exhibition in London in 1872. Additional exhibitions 1850 Wallace Collection 1853 Medeiros e Almeida Museum Foundation, Lisbon 1854 Metropolitan Museum of Art 1858 Royal Opera House 1860 Minneapolis Institute of Arts 1861 Victoria and Albert Museum, etc.
