East Caucasus, c. 386 x 162 cm, late 19th century, on sürmey-coloured ground in classic ashwan repeat of the so-called “forked leaf” Kuba consisting of gul-like emblems and corresponding white sajayad motifs, very beautiful border frames with kufi border and yellow, floral wavy vines, the inscription in the upper end of the field is undecipherable, heavy, solid feel in medium-fine knotting quality, consistently deep pile with blue weaving finishes preserved on both sides, the side edges repaired in places.
