Archduke Rudolph (1788-1831), 1819 Prince Archbishop of Olomouc, 1820 Cardinal; youngest son of Emperor Leopold II, pupil 1803/04 and important patron of Ludwig van Beethoven who dedicated to him numerous compositions and the Missa Solemnis for his installation as Bishop of Olomouc. Protector of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Vienna.
