Kom. Rat Moritz Rothberger (24.12.1865 - 20.09.1944 Vienna), head of the firm Jacob Rothberger, was active as a sculptor. He exhibited in the Viennese Künstlerhaus and was a member of the Künstlerverband Österreichischer Bildhauer. According to verbal information provided by the last owner the boys depicted in the portrait are the “Wertheim Boys”.
