Provenance: private ownership, Upper Austria In his paintings Anton Lutz turns the colours of light into his key players. He shapes the freedom of light, and allows each object and each colour to appear as if ‘in another light’. Without distancing himself from concrete human sensuality, without being aloof as a result, his paintings always point to the particular, to the special beauty of each respective individual representational moment. The object as carrier of colour and light receives it own individual stamp, its own individual beauty, from these two forces of appearance.
