A test model considerably smaller than the series-produced model. A globular light bulb is placed on top of the upper ring so that the white lamp appears to rest directly on the frame, which seems to be made of plastic.
Provenance: private collection, Germany; acquired from the artist. For several years, the architect Oskar Zieta experimented with inflated steel sheet furniture he developed at the CAAD Institute. With the aid of FIDU technology (freie Innendruck-Umformung/free inside pressure deformation), stabile furniture and light objects are made of two-layer steel sheet, which is shaped and accurately welded by means of water pressure.
