“My art is like a diary, seismographic. That’s the method I use in my work. When I’m working, I focus completely on myself. Drawing and painting are movements that flow through me. My perception and my gestures make it different. The image is an intelligent structure of specks, not something stuck in one place. It’s something fluid, transparent, open. I’m not interested in the elegance of it, but rather its unkemptness, the parts that haven’t been prettied up, the uncensored bits.”
