KPM-Berlin, underglaze blue sceptre mark, red painter mark KPM ca. 1900, model no. 3607, master modeller Alexander Kips, modelled by Hinke, gilt painter no. 73 Karl Haube 1886-1927 at the manufactory (Ru)

Source KPM-Berlin: The vase model 3607 refers to a “lidded vase with putto handles, decorated with reeds and flowers, the putto on the lid holding a shield”, first version 1891.
On occasion of the 50th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I. of Austria in 1898 a vase numbered 3607 was produced with the identical model.
The above vase appears in historical pictures of the KPM boot at the 1900 Paris World Fair, KPM Form 423 3. This exceptionally large and imposing vase with lid and decorated with 3 boys in Roman uniform is in all probability a singular piece and has not yet been documented in the relevant literature.

In the main, these designs were carried out by sculptor Paul Schley, Carl Bernewitz and Martin Fritsche as well as the painter Prof. Paul Miethe; of greater importance is the painting by Paul Miethe.
