A modified Régence style from the beginning of the 20th century. A rosewood-veneered hardwood bureau of serpentine form, with 3 drawers and sham drawers on the back, yellow metal mounts in the form of female heads, (Espagnolettes), the top edged in yellow metal mouldings, and with a 3-part green faux leather lining with embossed decoration. Ca. 79 x 167 x 88 cm. In restored condition. (DOC)
