VEB Staatliche Porzellan Manufaktur Meissen, the series of monkeys making music modelled by Johann Joachim Kändler around 1750. The male monkeys are portrayed as musicians, the female monkeys as singers. The monkey orchestra was renewed and added to by Peter Reinicke in 1765. According to historical legend they are supposed to depict the orchestra of Count Brühl.
