Sir Peter Blake was born in Kent, England, in 1932. In the late 1950s, he became one of the most famous representatives of Pop Art. The subjects of his work are the idols of pop culture, the world of the circus, along with posters, comics and postcards. In 2004, Blake collaborated with Eric Clapton to design the album “Me and Mr Johnson”. Peter Blake created the famous record cover for the Beatles’ album “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” in 1967. He was knighted in 2002. Sir Peter Blake is a member of the Royal Academy of Arts.
