c. 1820/25, so-called ‘retour d’Egypte’, walnut veneered softwood frame with curved plinth base, 1 maplewood frieze drawer resting on Egyptian-style caryatid lesenes, the latter naturalistically executed in full round with so-called ‘verde antico’ decoration, mirrored back wall, c. 90 x 106 x 42 cm, paint residues on the caryatids, with glass plate, slight signs of age and use.
