West China, c. 178 x 120 cm, Chien Lung period, 18th century, carpet from the Ningxia province with five disc medallions on a yellow “rice grain” ground, in fantastic, velvety wool quality, but heavily worn and partly with very low pile areas, both ends secured with a fabric border on the back.
