Arik Brauer

Erich Brauer „geht in sein Bild hinein wie in einen Garten“. Er wandert durch sein Bild, und „im Gehen verliert er zahllose winzige Gegenstände“ (Rudolf Hausner).
Hier wird noch ein Halm gepflanzt, dort noch ein Käfer ausgesetzt. Es ist ein Wandern durch paradiesische Gärten, durch eine Schöpfung, die nirgends endet.

Erich Brauer “enters his painting as if he were going into a garden.” He ambles through the painting and “whilst walking, loses countless minute objects.” (Rudolf Hausner).
Another stalk planted over here, another beetle set free over there. It is a stroll through paradisiac gardens, through creation that ends nowhere.
