Azerbaijan, c. 154 x 67 cm, 19th century. A rare, completely original double bag of the Shah Savan nomads, used on the animals for transport purposes. The colourful stripes of the two fronts are decorated with small botehs, the cotton back is striped in plain black and blue. (VP)
