Rare wristwatch with shaped lever movement and large date, reference 102.002, c. 1995
Case: gold 750, numbered 110468, diameter c. 34 mm
Movement: manual winding, stripe pattern guilloché shaped lever movement, numbered 501, calibre L.3, 30 stones, 3 screwed gold chatons, 3/4 nickel silver plate, hand-engraved balance cock, swan-neck precision regulator, blued screws
Dial: silver 925, small second, large date
Accessories: pin buckle gold 750, box, warranty, instruction manual.
After the restart in 1990, a patent for the large date was applied for as early as 1992. Two years later, A. Lange & Söhne presented the first four watch models, including the Saxonia with shaped lever movement and large date. The shaped lever movement was only used for a short time, hence this early version is very rare. The present watch was purchased in Vienna in March 1995. It is in near mint condition.
