For a long time, Tudor was considered Rolex’s little brother. The brand name was registered as early as 1926. Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf founded the company Tudor "Montres Tudor S.A." in 1946 with the aim of bringing affordable alternatives to the existing Rolex models to the market. For this purpose, components from Rolex were used until the 1990s, especially for cases and bracelets. Since 2003, Tudor has been using independent calibers in its watches. The present model is a classic Oysterdate model. The strap and case are signed "Rolex" and have been reworked.
