Southwest Caucasus, c. 195 x 166 cm, late 19th century. A typical representative of the ‘shield Kasak’ group in a particularly impressive, almost square format. The flower arrangement in the main border is unusual for this group. The red ground contains animal motifs. With original ends and re-worked edges. Corroded brown, a few small old repairs. (VP)
