underglaze blue crossed swords mark, mid-19th century, models by Johann Joachim Kändler and after French models around 1750, the ‘Monkey Orchestra’ was renewed and completed by Peter Reinicke in 1765. According to historical tradition, it is supposed to represent a caricature of the orchestra of Count Brühl (Ru)
