Iran, c. 219 x 150 cm, mid-20th century. A magnificent pure silk carpet with c. 640,000 knots/sqm, in very good condition. A green cypress at the lower end features the inscription: "Garden of Shiraz", with the signature "Bagerkhani" in a cartouche at the upper end. (VP)
