eight-leg version; mahogany, solid and veneered, brown-stained; with green stone top insert; brass sabots and table edging; signs of age and use; height 63.8 cm, diameter 85.7 cm. (MP)

The elephant trunk table, documented in writing and photographs at the Friedrich Otto Schmidt Archive, was used, inter alia, in the apartments of Dr Hugo Haberfeld and in the study at the apartment of Gustav Turnovsky (both from 1902).
