Berlin, 1928, four-legged structure made of solid and veneered dark-stained oakwood, dimensions: height c. 80 cm, width c. 44.5 cm, depth c. 63 cm, height of seat c. 45 cm. Slight signs of age and use. (MHA)

Only a few pieces of furniture by the architect Harry Rosenthal (1892 Poznan - 1966 London) have survived. This chair model was also the basis of a garden furniture programme (with seat and backrest made of slats) distributed by Bruno Koffer, Berlin-Halensee, from 1932 onwards. The chair was also used with tied flat cushions. An example of this chair with flat cushions from the David apartment in Berlin, furnished by Rosenthal, is now preserved in the Kunstindustrimuseet in Oslo.
