silver, relief decoration; two side handles; 23 irregular insert moonstones in cabochon cut; the underside of the edge marked on the inside with silversmith monogram Josef Wagner, designer monogram Josef Hoffmann, rose mark, WW and Diana’s head silver purity hallmark (800); the exterior marked on the side with WW, Diana’s head silver purity hallmark and official hallmark A; size: height 10.2 cm, length 16.6 cm, width 16.4 cm. MAK, Vienna, Wiener Werkstätte Archive, inventory no.: WWF 93-12-1, model number: S 347. Two examples of this centrepiece have been executed. Archive records of the Wiener Werkstätte show that both centrepieces were produced on 10 March 1905. Provenance: Austrian Private Ownership.
