A suite of furniture: two high back chairs mod. Talli and two matching footstools mod. Poggi, for Kindof Furniture,
Switzerland / Italy c. 2020, sculptural construction made of galvanised and polychrome lacquered iron rods. Dimensions of each chair: height c. 134 cm, width c. 55 cm, depth c. 65 cm; each stool / ottoman: height c. 33 cm, width c. 43 cm, depth c. 27 cm. Slight signs of age and use, scratches and abrasions. (MHA)
From the limited edition of 6 examples – inspired by the five different coloured Olympic rings, plus the white background colour. The Kindof company creates elements and supplementary parts for the design of furnishings, each of which is made of individual ribbed bars bent into shape without individual joints. The steel bar is a main component in the production of reinforced concrete for architectural construction. Kindof creates geometries in balance between production possibilities, aesthetics and function. Kindof products are protected by patents. They were designed in Switzerland and handmade in Italy.
