A large twelve-piece silver cutlery set (112 pieces), Vienna, by May 1922, in original lockable box with drawers
800 silver; clear smooth shape, widening on the underside and ridged in the middle; consisting of: 12 knives; 12 forks; 12 spoons; 12 hors d’oeuvre knives; 12 hors d’oeuvre forks; 12 coffee spoons; 12 ice-cream spoons (the latter partly gilt); 12 mocha spoons; a cake slice (the latter with chased foliate decor); a pair of salad servers (partly gilt); a soup ladle; a vegetable spoon; a potato spoon; a sauce spoon; a rice spoon; two carving forks; two meat forks; sugar tongs; a salt cellar; a pepper caster and a wick snuffer; signs of age and use; each marked with Diana’s head silver purity hallmark (800), diverse master’s marks and partly embossed Seligmann; original box, with three drawers, handles on the sides; key; total weight of cutlery service: 6,225.80 g.
