A mantel clock, in the style of Joseph Emanuel Margold, designed in around 1913/14, executed by Wolkenstein & Glückselig, Vienna
silver plated metal; moulded, curved and stepped shape with rounded top; the single steps decorated with beads on the sides; the upper part of the movement decorated with flowers and leaves; underneath with snail-shaped motifs on either side; the front also with hanging garlands; case with beaded decoration inside and outside; dial with raised Arabic numerals in slightly bulging round fields; in front of the the case a rectangular, domed bowl on three spherical feet; both the upper part of the bowl and the stand are decorated with a delicate all-round foliate border; the underside with company signet; original movement, pendulum enclosed; movement not tested; signs of age and use; height 28.7 cm, width 39.3 cm, depth 15.5 cm.
