South German rustic cabinet,
End of the 18th century, dated 1806, also monogrammed. A demountable pine cabinet with wedge joints, a moulded cornice and plinth, also canted angles, painted blue-grey, richly ornamented with denils, bulls’ eye mouldings and wave mouldings, the 2 doors with deep framed panels and everyday scenes enclosed in a medallion, further trompe l’oeil painting, the interior also painted blue. 190 x 176 x 67 cm. In good condition, with corresponding ageing and wear. (DOC)
